“Calls, emails, meetings… My day is fast-paced, because my customers demand attention everywhere, all the time, right away. I mainly assist national buyers and technical and logistics operators working for major grocery and home improvement stores. I analyze their needs, then discuss them internally with the engineers in our Design Office, our buyers and the sales team to propose the right equipment solutions and our best commercial offer. I have to show that I’m the right man for the job, whether it’s a global solution for a 100,000-pallet racking system or selling small outdoor equipment. The door is open, that’s the most important thing. Also, the tipping point between a negotiation and a sale isn’t a source of pride for me, because that moment is just my basic job. What does make me proud is getting results that surpass customers’ expectations and winning their trust. For example, I was once able to keep a promise I’d given to make a nearly impossible deadline. That success allowed me to list our products on a national scale in a major commercial network. My work as an account manager requires me to be very responsive, independent and determined.”
